The Writers Weekly eZine just published a list of what they are calling the “World’s Worst Book Proposals.” Now, they are not publishing these to be mean, and I am not pointing them out to you just to give you something to laugh at. The point is, we can learn from other’s mistakes.
But, um, they are pretty durned funny. My favorite:
When we asked for a 40-word description of their book, the author typed this:
(My book is) a suspence, thriller, mystery, romance, It will capitivate its auddince. Each chapter is a cliffhanger. My book is one that readers can feel all the emotions of each charter their happness of falling in love and their pain when it comes to an end. Most readers will be able in some way relate to charters in the book. It is a must read. Ophra’s Winfre’s online website stated your publishing company is on of the best.
Charter their happness, indeed.
